They were spread across the dry tracts of western India from Kashmir to Gujrat. When India was sparsely populated, Gujars used to take their animals up to the Himalayan foothills in summer and descend back into the plains of north western states in winter. BS Reporter / Mumbai June 03, 2008, 13:30 IST Archidply Industries Ltd, a leading player in the premium segment of the wood panel and decorative surfacing products, has chalked out an expansion-cum-modernisation plan with a capital outlay of Rs 83 crore. The company plans spend Rs 36 crore on its greenfield particle board and decorative plywood plant at Chintamani, Karnataka with a capacity of 45,000 cubic metres and 10,000 cubic metres respectively for which it has already acquired 12.5 acre of land.
