Kent School Teachers voted overwhelmingly to strike after negotiations with district officials collapsed. The strike announcement was the lead story on both the KONG and Q-13 Fox newscasts at 10 pm. Teachers will be on picket lines or at home today rather than preparing for classes, which are supposed to begin Monday.
